Kookaburra Coffee & Wine House is a locally owned LLC that is also the parent company of Kookaburra Gourmet Chocolate Sweets. 

Kookaburra Coffee & Wine House, coming to Ferndale spring 2012, will cater to a broad spectrum of consumers by blending a coffee bar, bistro, wine house, and retail shop under one roof. 

Kookaburra Signature Roast forms the foundation of our coffee menu ranging from steamed espresso drinks made from locally roasted organic, fair trade coffee beans to fruity Kooktails™, a lively blend of non-alcoholic drinks enjoyed by all ages. 

Alongside our signature Australian meat pies and sausage rolls, Kookaburra will offer a wide menu selection for consumers to enjoy either in house or on the go.  Tangy gourmet salads, hearty flatbread wraps, and melt-in-your-mouth muffins will be found alongside rotating five-star desserts including white chocolate cheesecake, pot de crème, tuxedo truffle tarts, and more.  All of our menu offerings will be made fresh on site using gourmet ingredients. 

In addition to a full cocktail bar, Kookaburra will carry a Washington State liquor license with an addendum that allows patrons to purchase wine and beer for off premise consumption.  This means you can purchase a bottle of wine off the rack and cork it at the table, or take it home to add to your own wine collection.    

Kookaburra’s fun retail side will encourage patrons to browse through a mix of merchandise ranging from witty wine accessories to handcrafted shea butter soap to brightly colored New Zealand wool socks, with a charming variety of gifts in between.    

What else is notable about Kookaburra?  We believe in reducing our carbon footprint both at Kookaburra and at home, buying from local vendors first, and supporting our own community in a variety of ways by hosting the Aly Fell Holiday Drive to support the local Womencare Shelter, donating to local benefits, and more.
